Hello, new to this site. I bought a 1985 K1ooRS about a month ago. It's been great until several days ago when I gassed up, and when I went to start it, it wouldn't start and gas was pouring out of the seams in the exhaust.
The fuel pump runs and there is spark. I've taken the plugs out, and left them out overnight, but it still floods at the first touch of the starter. Any suggestions? ( I appreciate the simplicity my R90 and R100 now)

Don't worry, you will learn and then enjoy the K100.

First thing, since the engine is flooding so badly, you should check if the fuel didn't leak into the crankcase.
The first thing that I would advise is to check the plug of the fuel injection computer (located between the battery and the tool tray).
I had exactly the same problem and it was a simple fix. I just pushed the plug until I heard the "click".
Good luck and report to us if this is not the problem. You won't be alone and we will work with you.

I pulled the tank, etc, and replaced the crank vent hose and the vacuum hose on the pressure regulator, air filter. I also disconnected the FI unit and the ground on the battery. I put it all together this morning and it started and ran fine. I think disconnecting the ground and the FI unit reset something.
I'll stay close to home for a while as I don't trust it yet. Thanks for helping Crazy Frog.
