G'Day to the good folk of the k100 Forum membership and administration,

My name is Gerry and I am grateful to be able to join your esteemed group, whose members share a common passion for this iconic range of BMs.

I live in Western Australia, about 500km north of Perth and have owned my K100RS since 1984.

I started out riding Matchless 500s, BSA and Triumph 650s in the late 60s and early 70s, but found them hard yakka to maintain and control the oil leaks and grease on my jeans from the chain drives. I often had to stop and recover parts, like tappet covers that had vibrated off them during outings.

I started riding BMs in 1974, when I bought a second hand R75/5 for long distance travel to Uni which was a dream compared to the previous bikes. I have owned a R90S and a 1977 R100RS since then, but unfortunately was not able to keep them before moving on to the K100 RS, which has done everything I could ever ask of a motorcycle and more to this day.

Thank you all for accepting me into your community.

Best Wishes,

Gerry

Esteemed group?  I think you have the wrong forum.

God to hear that you wakened from your R bike coma and joined the darKside of BMW ownership.
