BMW K-Series Motorcycles - Book by Mick Walker 31pU5qq82kL_SL500_AA300_

Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

I just picked this book up off the Amazon marketplace for a bargain £5.33 + £2.75 p&p.

Im not great at reading. I mean I can read, I just can never seem to settle into a book. Maybe I have too short an attention span. Anyway, I couldnt put this book down. Its so informative, humorous and ...well, readable. I particularly like that it is UK based, which sort of means I can relate to it a little better. It was printed in 1988 and so doesnt cover the 16 valvers, but the K1 is in there as it was just released at the time of writing. Theres plenty of the development history in there (did you know for instance that the K series was originally designed with the cyclinder head/silencer on the RH side?) and plenty of good pics, and is clearly penned by a brick enthusiast, which is what we all are right?

Highly recomended (even at the RRP of £19.95)

I saw the same book on Fleabay UK a couple of weeks ago and regretted not getting it.

It would have cost me around 70 dollars AU, but it would have been worth it.

Good buy!

What a bargain !!!!!!!

Normally they go for £30 - £50 here in the UK. I managed to get a NOS version for £30 - worth every penny. Laughing

I keep looking as I have a very large technical library and usually try to get 2 of each referrence book so I can keep one pristine ! Yes I know - anal. Rolling Eyes

Smile same here ... if I had three wishes the first one would be:
speed reading and 100% comprehension,
the second is bikes that never go wrong and
the third... well that may be a bit too raunchy for the forum Smile

I just found this on eBay UK for £19.99 "Buy It Now" and thought that I would post up the link. Although I would love to buy it for myself, funds are very low just now and it seems churlish not to allow someone else to have a chance at it - good luck Wink
