I am looking for a photo of a K-75 with the "T" windscreen on it. The diagrams off MAX-BMW Parts and REALOEM just aren't enough to put the windscreen/fairing back together. I'm finishing a restoration and have the "T" screen and a bunch of parts. Not sure if the parts are correct for the bike and have been trying to put it all together. But have not been able to find a decent diagram or description of what goes where. I would really appreciate a photo with enough detail to see how the windscreen is actually mounted on the handle bars. Please just e-mail me directly : jjefferies44@gmail.com

thanks

Hey guys, thanks so much. Thought I was going ... well you know!!  From that manual it looks like what I have is an amalgamation of a T-screen and something else. I will make it all fit. Or it might be that I have a variant of a "T". Seeing photos and the manual I'll probably be able to make it work. The restoration project has been on hold and now underway for 6 years so I'm not sure where all of it came from. Actually I have two of the windscreens. The one I'm not using apparently was left out in the weather for much of its life and has gone sort of opaque. My friend, Greg Hutchinson, you may know him as a BMWMOA Ambassador has been helping but his parts supply was rather limited as his shop deals mostly in older "R" bikes. So just seeing the manual tells me that I've got a few parts yet to be located.

Again, thanks so much for your trouble/effort.

This is probably the most useless of replies, but there's a set of screen mounts for sale on ebay UK.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-BMW-K75-K100-Screen-Windscreen-base-mounting-brackets/293635961218?epid=1809498877&hash=item445e113182:g:RH0AAOSwnAJe2ot9

No idea what shipping would be like.

Thanks, ebay also said that there would be an issue posting to the US. Funny about the brackets, the right one is available new but not the left. Go figure.

Opaque screens can sometimes be restored with work. Fine wet and dry sanding progressing through to finer grades. This is followed by cutting compound and finally plastic polish. An electric polisher makes the job easier.
Regards Martin.

Well between the diagram and pictures it appears that I do NOT have the appropriate clamp(s) and parts to mount the T screen as it was designed. Guess I'll just have to go inappropriately. But guys thanks so much for the support. I won't waste my time asking why the parts I have don't look like the ones in the on-line parts diagrams. I'll just move on to either locating the needed brackets or fabricating something.  Did something similar when I mounted a R100RT fairing on my big red bike.

best regards
