Folks;

I have a 1985 K100RT that I've had running a few times. I found it to be rather unreliable on the road. I've been stuck somewhere just about every time I've gone out. Mostly it has been electrical issues, but this last go around ended up with what appears to be a partially seized up engine that is hard to turn by hand (in 5th gear, plugs removed, etc.) and will not turn using the starter (which grunts but won't turn it over- and the battery checks out well above 12V, new two years ago).

Finally decided to move on to something a bit more reliable and decided that the best way to find a new home for this bike would be with the usual bunch of Beemer Lovers!

The Bike is pretty much complete with the RT fairings and mostly OEM equipment. A fuel guage has been added as well as a Corbin aftermarket saddle. It has seen some rough usage...I think I'm about the fourth owner.

I do not have the capability to get the bike to you...it'll have to be pickup only. I'm in Mesquite, Texas, just outside Dallas.

I'm looking for a good home for the beast. Let me know if you are interested!

My e-mail is jim.methered@attglobal.net.

Good luck in selling your bike, but I wouldn't be posting an email address up for all the world to see, especially Nigerian or Russian or Chinese bots who really know how to bombard you when you least expect it. I suggest you request interested parties PM you.
