Amongst a job lot of Brick parts I scored a shock absorber. It appears to be unused but has sat around for a while so it may need re-gassing. I  have identified it as a Nitrogen filled shock but I need to identify the manufacturer, it has the following markings, TT SUSPENSION Made in Italy BW004X2B03  09019579 3 14. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.
Regards Martin.

I'm leaning towards a Bitubo. But hoping someone can do a bit better.
Regards Martin.

That's definitely Bitubo's TT model logo on it. This one is for a scooter.

Thanks Laitch, I've sent off an Email to our local shock restoration shop RAD who should be able to get it up to scratch if needed. I've been running his rebuilt OEM shocks since I got my Brick I'm on my second and probably due for a third. If the Bitubo proves to be OK I might run it and retire the stock to backup. However I did find TWB's post
and I suspect it might be a bit heavy for my weight.
Regards Martin.

That may have been my shockie. It was a new, heavily sprung Bitubo I obtained from that bloke (PPMP) out near Boonah Qld who sells or sold motorbike parts. I bought it for AU$575.00 in 2010 or '11, used it for the two years when I was living back home, then every other year once I'd gone overseas when I returned to ride in OZ until about 2016. It has probably 30,000 kilometres on it. It was very good for rider and pillion and gear, but firm for a solo rider, despite the adjustment range available from preload to damping. I ran it near the bottom of preload and about the bottom 1/3 of damping range on my K100RS. Perhaps he'd know of a 'lighter' spring available if that's an issue. I'm using the new aluminium body Progressive 465 now. Well, I don't use it much as the moto sits in a storage shed in Beenleigh until the wars are over.

TWB this Bitubo has no damping adjustment, and after careful examination looks like it's never been used. It even has a metallic sticker saying TOP. I sent a email to RAD for more information. When I get onto him I am going to see if it is possible to obtain a lighter spring and shorten it by 20mm. I got it for a good price and was thinking it would be worth throwing a bit of money at it. What are your thoughts on it.
Regards Martin.

I fitted the Bitubo today and adjusted the sag to 30mm. I went for a ride but way to firm for my liking but it handled well on smooth to slightly rough roads. Looks like I'll be passing it on.
Regards Martin.
