I bought my first BMW, a 1992 K100RS, on Sunday from a gentleman on Advrider. He told me that he is also a moderator on this site and that I could learn a great deal about the K100 here. I have been riding since 1975 in the US and Canada. During that time I've had fewer than ten bikes (tend to hang on to them for a long time) and have put the most miles on a 1992 Honda VFR 750 and a 2008 HD FLHTP Police bike. I currently have the 1992 K100RS, a 2009 HD Heritage Softail, and a 1999 Honda XR600R for dirt. I look forward to many miles on the K100RS and hope to gain a better understanding of how to operate and maintain it via this forum Very Happy.

Welcome!  Some nice riding down in your part of the world.  The 16 valve K100 is good bike, you should have a lot of fun with it.

Caveman, I'm in Butler County if you're ever in the area. I spend a fair amount of time in the Fayette mountains and WV.

Venango, Kennerdell, WV and down along the parkway (not so much the parkway it self) are some of my favorite places to ride. Four Winds BMW has a rally in Red Bank every year I try to go for at least a day.
