I was surprised not to see Charlie or Rick there.
I ran into Smithy at the Guyra Caltex on the way down on Friday.
A couple of us tried to ring you Craig to see if you were coming on the Saturday raod ride, but there was no answer on your mobile.
Bloody hell it's dry around Stanthorpe.
Most of the dams were dry.
But it poured down from Tenterfield through to Warwick when I was riding back late Sunday afternoon.  Rolling Eyes
Rick, which local council / Main Roads numnuts is responsible for all those bloody automatic 10 minute wait roadworks stop lights around Stanthorpe? Evil or Very Mad
I can understand the need for the one on the Bolivia Range, but the other 3 weren't staying open for long enough for traffic to clear.
I saw traffic queues stretching back over a kilometer long at these stop lights on Sunday.
At least on Friday the lights were manually controlled.

Had a new shoulder joint put in a while ago so no riding YET. As for the Numbnutz it is all controlled by warwick and they have a shocking history of delays that need not happen and leaving signs out when finished.

Rick,

How's the healing going?
Did the medicos give you any indication of how long before you could ride again?
I'm on the 12 month long waiting list - no appointment until September 2021 (to get on the waiting list for surgery) for a new left shoulder joint myself.
I destroyed mine when I hit a big buck roo near Torrington a few years back.
It's getting really bad. I've had 4 operations on imy left arm so far.
I only get by with a cortisone shot every 3 months to retain a degree of mobility.

Cheers,

Andrew

Well I have an appointment on 12th April and rip shit tear or bust I'm gonna ride there. It is actually going well 8 weeks out and I have almost full range but needs more strength. it's taking a lot less time to get working than the previous left shoulder which was only just starting to get moving at this time. I would have liked to get down to Tamworth but it would have been asking a bit much for a first ride.
I should be at the cane toad run.

I am coming along much quicker than they expected. At my 6 week review I raised my arm up and put my hand behind my head and the doc just about fell off the chair, he just couldn't believe it.

I was only able to stay the Friday evening but it was good to catch up with some familiar faces,Gaz, Tom, Bill and Andrew as well as unser lieber Gastgeber, Stuart. . They even let me in the front gate on the road train. Rained solidly all the way home. Luckily all the way home wasn't actually very far. Laughing Thanks for putting it on, Stuart! Also met Michael from Armidale on his RT, a nice looking...actually oddly familiar looking bike.

yeah
sorry andrew , had plans to attend myself some months back

would have been a good catch up with some of the hunter , and further crews

i looked at some of the posts about the site several weeks ago and it appeared to be already full , subscribed ...blast

had even thought of doing a drive by saturday afternoon , but rains etc held me back

perhaps when all this covert stuff is finally accepted and fixed plans can be acknowledged across the different states , we might stand a chance ..
