I have a 1985 K100RT. The fairing is removed, and I am installing aftermarket LED front turn signals. I have disconnected the Hyperflash already. Pretty straightforward installation, but the bike turn signal is a 2-wire setup, while the new turn signals have a 3-wire setup and include a DRL wire. After installing without the DRL wire connected, the right turn signal stays on and does not blink, however I can hear the blinker working. The other side works fine, blinks and cancels, timing looks normal. I switched the turn signals to see if it would do the same thing on the other side and same thing happened. And I should also mention that the rear lights and Speedo are currently disassembled.

Does it seem like it is an issue with the “cheap” Amazon blinker having the turn signal wire crossed with the DRL, or am I missing something with a flasher relay or fuse?

What exactly do you mean by "I switched the turn signals ..."?  Did you test the flasher module with the OEM indicators to make sure that your modification was successful? I'd suggest that you restore everything to factory and make sure the flasher module is working correctly before blaming the Amazon indicators.

I mean I used the new right turn signal on the left side and it did the same thing. So it might not be the turn signals, and looks like it follows the bike right side turn signal wire. I’ll connect the old blinker light and confirm it blinks on that side. It did work before I took it apart.

Ok I just confirmed that the old original blinker bulb turns on but does not blink either.

So that means most probably your modification to the flasher module is not correct. Can you post pictures of your modification?

This is the link to the instruction. I tried to be careful and only snipped the one tab to the hyperflash.

I think what could be helpful is a photo or two of where you did it on your relay.

I figured it out. And as usual, I’m a huge idiot. I swear I had labeled the wires correctly while disassembling the fairing, and I had crossed the right turn signal with the other small light that I think was in the headlight, a DRL? Not sure. But it’s working fine, did everything correctly except that one small thing which cost me a day and a headache. Thanks for the help.
