I am sad to report that we lost Bella a few days ago. Many of the members from the forum's earlier days will  remember her, I think. She was a very well travelled pup and did many trips on my K bike outfit, including forum rides to Narranderra, Nindigully and Northern Tablelands rides as well as the Karuah River rally and plenty of adventures on my Triumph including across the Nullabor to Perth and back etc. I thought I might put up some photos of her on our rides. She will be sorely missed by Kerry and me. Bella the Red Cattle Dog 042b10

My condolences to yourself and Kerry.  Last time I saw her was in your car when you stopped by here on the way back home.  As the dogs had been playing up you kept them in car.  I was hoping she would leave her mark and mark her territory to confuse next door's cat.

Hopefully Shamus will pick up the baton.

Sean, this is soo sad. Bella was kind of the mascot of the forum. She's been with us since the beginning.
I wish her a fantastic ride to heaven.
My condolences to you and Kerry.

She was featured on the 10th Anniversary picture on the front page of the forum.

very sad to hear Sean

Bella certainly was always the first contact in the New England region for this old traveller

I'm sure i saw her smile on several occasions as i pulled into your driveway and dismounted .

I always thought that she showed great judgement skills and considered anyone arriving by motor cycle, to be a friend of the family.

she was always happy around a parked up group of riders , protecting her patch.

she will be missed

Condolences Sean and Kerry on the loss of a great canine friend. A couple of my favourite memories of her are depicted in your photos;

The one when you mowed down that kangaroo right in front of me on the way to Nindigully. I reckon she was still wide eyed when we pulled up,

and her on guard around the fire at our Wells Crossing camp night.

The Queen is dead, long live the new King Seamus (or is it Shamus?)

Cheers

Bloody dogs... they just don't live long enough.

Seamus, ( often referred to as Shameless), is certainly keen on carrying on the sidecar dog tradition.

He's no linguist though. Razz

Never met Bella Sean but followed her exploits over the years through your posts.
I've had a few dogs over the years, sometimes it just clicks and you get a great connection. It's a sad time when you lose a mate like that. Take care.

Condolences.
But please understand; there’s only one dog spirit - all dogs are the same spirit, which is why every dog you will ever care for is one and the same. When you show love to your dog you are showing love to every dog in the world: that’s how they know. The scientists just haven’t discovered it yet 😃

So sorry to read this news Sean. Dogs like her are 100% part of the family and it is so sad when they leave us. As you say, they just don’t get to live long enough…but you can be confident that she certainly lived very well.

sad to hear mate, she was a fine girl.
We recently went through the same ourselves and still awaiting a new family inclusion. As you mentioned , dog years just don't equate .
