We all know that its difficult near impossible to get a standard garage tyre gauge to fit, so some use the angled valve extension to overcome this .Being an old Truck/Coach wheel taper I find using a flexible Valve extension (used on twin wheel sets) made from rubber about 4/5INCHES long. No struggling/faffing, Clears the rotors easy pessy  Surprised Surprised

length is 6/7 inch Embarassed Embarassed

I'm a bit curious why this is posted in the Aussie & New Zealand rides and meetings section...

Shall I move it to something more appropriate?

BTW, 'Snowflake' wheels fit Airheads. Y spoke wheels fit early Ks.

No worries, I'll move it over to some other place - how about we go for Frame, Fairing & Wheels! Some do call the K bike Y spoke wheel a snowflake, I've noted over the years, but surely compared to the actual Airhead snowflake it would have been a rather dull snowstorm.

I removed the Y spoke wheels of my '87 K100RS over a decade ago now and replaced them with 18" three spokes from a K1100RS (rear) and an 18" K75S. They are the easiest to clean wheels of any motorbike I own other than the ones I never bother to clean.

Once a sign of reliability, respect and fear.  Now sadly just a lap dog of ruSSia.
