At last, after four long years, We've booked airline tix from Seattle to Vancouver BC to Brissy. We depart 25 September, arriving early Tuesday the 27th @ BNE. The Mighty red K100RS & its stablemate the '77 R75/7(R100) will be dragged out into SE Queensland sunlight from their storage shed for the first time since early November 2018. I'll be sure to pack a spare fuel pump & the usual hard bits that go gooey, despite treated fuel.
Our plans are to spend a week or more south of Brissy in the Beenleigh area, as well as the Sunshine Coast visiting friends. Then it's off to Victoria to see mum, cousins & old mates.
I'm hoping to stop in to at least see RickG & Charlie on my way south, but it'd be great to catch up with other forum members along the way. The loverly Pamela will accompany me. Closing in on ten years she's put up with me, the past two and a half pandemic years have us needing to get away. We made a long weekend trip over the border to Canada a coupla weeks ago but haven't done much travelling interstate since early 2020, save a quick trip to Albuquerque last December. Bike rides have been limited to weekend trips & commuting to work after a really wet & cold Spring this year. The heat is finally here with today's temp reaching a wonderful 31, tomorrow 36, 35, 34, 28 dropping to 25 by Sunday.
This coming week I'm on holidays so it's a week on the red GT camping and touring the Pacific North West: Washington, Idaho, Montana & Oregon.
Best to all.
