Hello all - I was looking for some assistance! 

I am looking for a modification to lower the rider footpegs on my 1986 K100RS. 

Are the any products in the market - or perhaps any easy hacks which I can apply?

Nope. It hits the silencer. BTTT (been there, tried that) and puzzled out just about every easy combination in between. Always the silencer gets in the way. Standing-off the footpeg hangers and then lowering the pegs will work, but that was too ugly even for me.

I have these fitted to my k1 - these may work better on an RS as per Dai's comment. I picked them up on eBay a few years ago.

This is exactly what I am looking for! What should I be looking for on ebay - anything specific (outside of "lower footpegs" Haha!)

The search term K100 lower footpegs will give you some products to consider.

Would you need to look for a longer shift lever to go with that?

I used them on my k1 which has an adjustable  linkage for the shift lever but I did have to modify the brake pedal side (cut and welded the pedal). I have not modified my RS's.

mappedFA is probably trying to open the angle between the thigh and calf; that rearset might close it up more in addition to creating cost for a different rear brake master cylinder.

It could be that increasing the seat's thickness would help if all else fails.

Actually if you made a proper spacer to fit between the two posts ( to spread the stress ) this would work fine if you needed them that much lower.

The lower you go the more you reduce the turning radius.

I also have these MV low footpegs on my K1. Good stuff, well designed, quite expensive. I did not have to modify the brake pedal
On my K100 side car, I'm thinking about a plate that would bolt on the mounting holes on the gear box that could allow to lower the whole footpeg plate. I don't need ground clearance as a solo bike needs, and the exhaust should not be a problem as it passes under the engine.
It may enlarge a bit the place for the feet, but that should not be a big problem, it's even an advantage on a side car to have a good position in corners.

That`s exactly what i wanted to know.
I too have a HGT sidecar on my K1.

But you find this on Ebay for K1, 

I don`t know if they are fifferent looking to K100.

If the vendor is indicating they are designed for K1, they'll either fit like they did for jbt or you'll need to modify one of them like Ringfad did. If you wait long enough trying to decide, both if them could be sold out and you could then turn your attention to something more interesting.

I now have two k1's, both are fitted with the MV lowering option.

I mean those are for rear foot pegs.

Unless you have a sidecar I can't imagine why someone would want to lower the pegs on a K1100RS because the pegs will scrape sooner and it increases the minimum turning radius. I would get a taller seat or a  butt pad before I'd lower the pegs.
