We're about due for another K Kronies  workshop day. So I thought after the disappointing Ray Owens swap meet I thought I'd try and put another spin or two on our meetup. If anyone has surplus parts/tools/gear that is capable of being brought along, bring it.

 If anyone wishes to see different  procedures done that are capable of being done in the time available, or if someone wishes to demonstrate a procedure stick your hand up. If anyone requires throttle bodies synched or mixture adjusting we have the tools available. If anyone has an alloy engine I know Gary is keen to show his hot soapy method. So put your two bobs worth in. 

Hopefully Bruce and or Annie will be supplying their sausage rolls. And my lovely Wife/Boss will be doing her rival to Bunnings. In order to keep my pension supporters going it will be a Sunday. Date at this stage is open to suggestions.

Geoff,  it looks like I'll have to do a ring around. A few of the Kronies that normally attend have gone into hibernation. I'll post when I can do some more confirmations.

It was unfortunate that our avid leader Martin became crook overnight and the workshop day was postponed to another day.  We wish him a speedy recovery.  A few of the group, Mick, SSD, Gary Geoff and Annie and I got together and went for a short ride over to Redcliffe for a coffee.  Mick lead the group from Geebung, Sue's Corner through the round abouts by Boondall Entertainment Centre onto the motorway and out to the Hornibrook Bridge and Redcliffe.  Some followed the leader, some didn't missing turn offs etc but eventually all found each other for a cold drink, coffee and chat.   Thanks for suggesting it Mick.   Great morning was had buy all - all except Martin.

:1a:While you guys were enjoying yourselves I enjoyed 7 hours in Redcliffe Hospital having blood sucked out being scanned. Off to the doctors today to get a referral to a specialist. I'm not about to fall of my perch anytime soon so my lovely wife will not be selling Izzy or my K stash.   It might be a couple of weeks before I can reschedule the workshop day. The food will hopefully be still edible?

Thanks Gryph just got back from the doctors and it's looking good. Just have wait and undergo more tests then off to the specialist. With age there comes wisdom, with wisdom there comes medical problems.

Thanks fellas for all the good wishes. It is common problem that comes with wisdom. It was an enlarged prostrate that led to a very painful bladder infection. I'm on antibiotics for a week and pain killers Ibuprofen and Panadol. OZ banned over counter pain killers with Codeine without a prescription and doctors are reluctant to prescribe them. This is due to all the backyard drug manufacturers using them and pseudoephedrine to make drugs. I do however have half a pack of still in date Codeine. Once infection is gone then back to the Doctors then off to the specialist.

Hi Martin, My prescription for large prostate is, Tamsulosin, 1per day, Finasteride, 1 per day, And for pain relief Naxproxen 1 twice a day when needed, works well for me ask your Doc hope this helps. Here in UK we try to avoid Codeine based meds if possible too many side effects.

Thanks Moriati I actually had the codeine  tablets for migraine attacks which I no get once I retired. Just did another blood/pee test and then I'll see the doctor, who should then send me off to the specialist.

Thanks for the day.  Pity about the weather.

Another good result and attendance. Due to Blakey's generous parts donation a fair bit of cash was raised which will go towards our Christmas lunch raffle. Matt's Dak Dak had it's steering head bearings replaced. We were also going to do some work on his K1 but he showed up on  his RS. Jamie finally rekeyed his pannier locks. Matt helped Vic sort out his ignition wiring on his R65. Gary showed his method for restoring aluminium parts polishing a few of Mick's and Salty's bits. Bruce had the vacuum mod done on his K75s, and the report on that mod is on the vacuum mod post.  Unfortunately Geoff was unable to attend due to a sprained knee so missed out on his K75 tune up. As normal everybody left well fed courtesy of Bruce's wife Annie and my lovely patient wife Ann.  Typical Ozzie food served, sausage rolls, sausage sizzle, lamingtons,
coconut jam drops, with Gary and Mick donating another OZ favourite double choc Tim Tams.
