Will this be your first 'good' ride on K1100LT BB?

No wonder that Santa didn’t leave me anything - he obviously stopped at your place first.

Good news!

10 and 1.5 international possibilities at this point. Plus the one who has to decide if it’s a 1 or 2 dog night. (18/10/2024)

I'll amend this list as further info comes in.

I land at BNE on Tuesday 18 March, so I'll not be able to attend, unfortunately. I'll have a bit over three weeks in which to organise and transport my stored Airhead & bits from the Sunshine Coast to Barnawartha in Victoria. Alternatively, I might be transporting it back to Los Estados (the States). I fly back on 8 April also from BNE. It'll be good to catch up with one or three of the mob whilst there.

TWB - hope I get to cross paths with you. I’m also flying in/out via BNE - leaving on 22 Mar.

No firm plans for my ride back from Jindabyne after the meet weekend but will definitely be calling on Stan at Old Bar. Might see you somewhere as you head south or in Brisbane area (depending how long you hang around there after arrival).

Yeah, I'll likely still be in SE Queensland sorting my old bike and spares for several days after my arrival on the 18th, before heading south. My route south will be inland on the New England highway through Stanthorpe (Rick G), then NSW via Glen Innes (Charlie), and to visit others along the way. I'll have an OZ mobile number shortly after arrival and if you will have access to the interwebtron, I'll PM you that info. Of course, all of my plans could "go south" if I find that it's easier and less expensive to simply float a sealed pallet containing the bike and spares to the US. Brissy has a fantastic shipping port. Reckon I'll need a strong paddle.  Question

Reckon Dai's gunna fit in that Antipodes-bound roll-on?

Bummer. I do hope to meet up with a few while "back home." I couldn't sort out an earlier departure to be able to make the Southern Ride a part of my itinerary, and with no roadworthy bike in Australia now, I'm not taking riding gear with me on this trip.

One day, it would be truly amazing to sort out an international gathering of active forum members, fully recognising the logistics of such an undertaking would be monumental, unless perhaps centralised on "the continent."

I further extend an invitation to forum members/K riding fools, to come to the Pacific Northwest, May thru September, for some fine riding and to have a heaping helping of hospitality.

I just thought I'd catch up with this, a ride down south would be great.

unfortunately the Blue Mountains Folk Festival is that weekend and we have already bought tickets so cant go this time.  I'll keep an eye on the post weekend tour ideas though, might be able to catch up with some of you then.

Enjoy the ride.

Al

Bill's Southern Ride is approaching. Gaz, Tom, Bob and I will be traveling together. I have made bookings at the Globe at Rylestone for four of us, on Wed, 12/3/2025.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are all sorted for Young and Jindabyne.

For homeward bound, I have booked the Tathra Hotel for Sunday night, 16th, and then the Mittagong RSL motel for the Monday night, 17th.

Then Bob will make his way back to Young, and Gaz, Tom and I will venture home, either Putty Road or Wisemans Ferry.

Rickmeister.

Marie and I will book for the Wed at Rylestone also. I know we x met you there last year for dinner, if we stay over the night we can ride up and back without worrying about the trip home in the dark and the risk of hitting wildlife. Looking forward to see you there maybe on 2 Ks
