Hi, new member. Have a nice low mileage 1991 K100RS.
The side stand allows the bike to lean too gar over. Appears it mite be bent...not much tho. Hesitate to buy a new one. ...big $$!. Anybody?

All K bikes lean a lot on the side stand.

The bend is like that from the factory.

Hello, no need to use Member's Introduction for asking a question since you've already introduced yourself HERE back in 2020.

I'll move this thread to an appropriate section of the forum.

I'll piggy bank on this topic, is there a common side stand mod that reduces the lean angle? It freaks me out with how far it leans

The usual answer is to shape a hockey puck and fix it to the underside of the sidestand foot with a couple of M4 screws (drilled through the foot). I did eventually get used to the angle of dangle.

Ice hockey pucks are a favorite choice. I used a slice of a boat trailer roller, you can go round or square your choice. The square container is for using under the side stand foot when parking and soggy or sandy ground. It can also be used  to contain bolts and screws while working on the bike, stops you loosing them in the grass. It can also serve as a water dish for stray thirsty animals. It was originally a 4" post cap, for recovery you can attach a cord to it
Regards Martin.
