Yes it's on again!

7th - 9th Feb, 2025 at the regular site (Frying Pan Ck campsite in the Chichester State Forest near Dungog, NSW). The rally is totally BYO, no catering etc on offer, last supplies at Dungog.  $30 entry/badge, Rally awards and raffles drawn Sat afternoon, Toilets on site, some firewood supplied, swimming in waterholes if conditions are suitable. All riders welcome, K100 riders especially welcome Smile .   More info on the BMW club website www.bmwtcnsw.org.au

Rain is not unusual, pack a light raincoat.

Hope to see a few of you there.

Al

Same weekend as the Dragon Rally in North Wales. If I give you any thought, it will be one of pure jealousy because you're likely to be a lot warmer than I will be!

Of the several KRR I've been to, at times it's a brilliant sky full of stars and recognisable constellations. Other times it's bucketing with rain and the river crossings getting to and from the site are best left to the GS mob. It s*cks to pack up a sodden tent. Once I just got a room back in Dungog. But the beauty of the rally is the hit 'n' miss weather and the camaraderie. The Moto Guzzi club's Spaghetti Rally in Victoria in springtime is like that, too.

I know of one in Gosport, that is filling up fast.

You may wish to start your diet now.  Sorry, at least wait till Crimbo finishes.

Exiting on one of the wet years. At least it's concrete underneath.

The challenge was actually arriving Friday afternoon trying to get to the campsite. The rain had just stopped, the river was higher than this and still rising. With the flow running left to right the issue was would it lift (float) float the sidecar and push the bike off the concrete causeway? We chose to head back to town and get a bed in the pub. River had gone down enough to make the crossing safe on Sat morning.
