I was reminded I hadn't posted it up here but it is on the FB page. My apologies, been slaving in the pudding kitchen.

Saturday 28th December 11am Christmas Brunch and usual puddings, come by K or if not by Kar, Kart or bicyKle.

Usual venue, Stradbally Fayre. M7 exit 16, from there its 10km on N80 toward Carlow, on the left as you come through Stradbally, opposite the fire station.

Weather looks good enough to take bikes out for the day.

Best wishes to all of you “Eccentrics” for your Christmas brunch tomorrow. Ruth & I have very fond memories of our meet up with some of you at that very same venue.
I’m sure the riding conditions will be more pleasant than here, even if a bit damp. Our forecast today is for 40degC with thunder storms.
Cheers

Some pictures from todays meet , the temperature reached a balmy 10 degrees C and remained dry. A great turnout but only showing the k bikes here. Lots of puddings were handed out from Santa Olaf.

Those two black/silver K1100RS caught my eye, as I have a '96 that I'm (slowly) returning to original. I note one has the black fork and the other the rarer(?) silver fork.

I also apreciate that someone rode in on a K1300GT as these too are dear to my great big rubbery beating K heart.

Mine has the black forks at the moment. I blew a fork seal on my trip to Alicante this year and was unable to replace it without destroying the alloy fork leg. I now have a replacement and will be re-fitting the alloy set again soon. Well spotted :-)

The grey/yellow K1 with City cases and slimmed down front mudguard is the biz. Aside from the arrest-me-yellow accents, it'd be a real, solo, stealth sports-tourer.
Cool

Maybe one of the best parts of riding that bike is you'd rarely see another like it coming towards you.   Very Happy
