Afternoon all,

Does anyone know what the correct size rivets that are used to hold the latches on the side luggage are? from my collection i seem not to have any that are the right size, so need to order some. The fishe's i have looked at don't appear to show the size!

Use stainless ones as the aluminium ones will corode. It is what causes most of the panniers to commit suiside on freeways in front of trucks.

Unless of course the owner is smart enough to make straps to go around. I have of course used aluminium ones, so don't ride behind me.

i recon if aluminum lasts 10 - 20 plus years i wont complain about them corroding and drilling them out and replacing them .......which i have done recently

I replaced my loose rivets with stainless screws, nuts and washers. You can't see any of them from the outside anyway. This allowed me to adjust the fittings to get the tightest fit without having to force the thin alloy fittings. I have the flat locks. I never lock any of them as I have FOUR different keys!
