Hi All,

I have been stripping my K1100 to fix the Sprag Gear so anyone who has had to do this will know you have to stip the whole bloody bike lol.
The thing is that when i have come to put it all back together i noticed the old brake fluid has chrystalized in exit point on the prsesure modulator outlet.
My question is would i have to flush it with brake fluid or can i use a less caustic stuff untill I am ready to put in back on bike.

Thanks John.

Hi John,
Brake fluid is not caustic by the way however the issue is what should you do, if the system is still full of brake fluid simply wait till you finish and flush with clean brake fluid through the whole system front and back. If the brake system is open to the air put tape over the open ends to keep moisture from the air out.
Regards,
K-BIKE
