I use a local brand Ryco Z418 (~$12), but often think about the construction and design. I believe that the by pass pressure for Ryco (and many others) is set to 11 (or so) psi. That would be ~0.8 bar.
The original equipment I am told is much higher (2 bar?).
No big deal, except that higher pressure units allow more oil to be filtered and therefore less oil by-passes especially when the oil is cold (viscous).
Any comments? I am not absolutely sure about these numbers.
