Like the title says, I'm wondering if a K1100 shock will fit on a 87 Non-abs K100RT. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!!

They will fit in but are 30mm longer because the K1100 has the same top mountpoint but the rear mount is 50mm futher back due to the paralever rear end so a longer shockie is needed. The spring rart is heavier due to the change in geometry. It will also change the geometry of the K100.

So, a slight rise in the height of the back end which results in more weight on the front end and quicker steering. We used to do this with the longer shocks and the shorter torque arm of the R1100GS fitted to R1100RS models to make 'em steer better and raise the rear a tad. It's nice when you've got a few extra spares to play with to see what fits what and how it works.
