I have just scored a clean and straight, 3 spoke 18" rear wheel with centre cap, wheel bolts and spacer, a 2.5X18" 3 spoke front wheel which accepts the 'standard' four-bolt, 285mm brake discs, a K1100 centre stand with mounting plate and an accompanying side stand with all the springs. I have 110/80ZR18 front and a 160/60ZR18 rear radial tyre in my near future. Like a kid at the dinner table waiting for mum to serve the ice cream, I can't wait.
bounce

The modded 292mm Suzuki brake discs with 8mm offset spacers (to centre the discs within the callipers) that I've been hanging onto ready to use for yonks, and dual, four-piston Brembos are ready, and a 20mm master cylinder, new-style throttle tube and cable, and Venhill braided hydraulic line kit will soon be in hand as well. Coupled with the K1100 throttle body swap it should be a fun weekend very soon. My K100RS will have some subtle upgrades that should see it both roll and stop just a little bit better.

Feels like Xmas in August, the treasure and the trash!

MotoGP is about to start. The 125cc and Moto2 600cc races were amazing. Let's see how Stoner, Lorenzo and the lot do at Brno, České Republik tonight!

It's called mix n match and it sure is fun

I have been painting the K11 and started to rub back the front section of the front guard because there were two cracks, I found no less than 7 different coats of colour on it.

I decided to do a more comprehensive resto on it so I will be riding the K100 to Araluen.

I was looking at OGs pictures and decided to take the injection and all of to make sure it will be OK. Took the air box of and found about a kilo of gravel on top of the block. It sure is a dirt trap there.

Strewth! When I did my TB intake rubbers several months back I was amazed how much of Mother Earth was jammed into that small space under the airbox. At least it wasn't inside the airbox!

I've decided on the 18" front wheel over the 17" wheel because I already have the Suzook discs fabricated to mate up against the four-bolt wheel type. It's subjective I know, but I like the look of the 3 spoke well enough and there's heaps of radial tyres available in that size, 110/80ZR18. Also, The 17" front wheel and 18" rear wheels of that period (K1, K1100RS) look a bit odd to me. I thought, why not a similar wheel diametre? Aesthetically it works for me. I'll have the wheels painted a darker colour at work (multi-awarded body shop, bennies of the biz) than the standard silver using the 2pak method, then polish off the edges for a highlighted effect. Hey, I don't wash my bike much, except when it rains....what am I thinking?!

We'll soon see how it handles. I'm sure it'll be an improvement.

Just outstanding mate! Very Happy I have soo been waiting for one of our "usual suspects" to do the radial swap, and I will eagerly be waiting to hear your report on going with the 18" front. Oh, and of course I like the sounds of a little tarting too! Cool

It could ultimately just be money spent, but I think not just. Cool
