I pulled my swing arm bearings on my 1985 K100 to inspect and repack. As I understand by reading Clymer there is supposed to be a grease cup/retainer on the inside. This was absent on my bike on both sides. I do not see where a replacement can be ordered. Does anyone know where I can order these or are the actually necessary? Thanks.

I have a late swing arm (black) and that has no grease retainers, so did BMW stop fitting them at some stage?

Paul.
