I have now mentally prepared myself for an output seal replacement within the next 2 weeks however I spotted this -

New oil leak Imag0327

Anybody know where it's coming from please?

If you`re lucky, it`s the O-ring in the front end of the starter.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll do it the same time as the back end is off then.

What if I'm unlucky?

Could also be the crankcase breather. Again, a very good clean and then a trip to see what happens.

What I did have mind, the starter O-ring is the easiest fix when having an oil leak in this area.

But since you planning a bigger job...one stone, two birds.

Other possibilities more unlikely...gearbox breather....alternator sealing ring....but then I`ll guess you would have seen oil on the other side of the engine too. Do a good degreaser/clean to be shure.

It is the O-ring ...

No sign of oil anywhere else Smile

Thanks Inge K
