Going for a 1000 mile tour; not much time, just noticed front tyre has 1mm in the centre, up to 2 at the sides. I know the answer to this one - change it but tell me I'm right! Why didn't I notice sooner?!

Cheers
Dave

If you push your bike for at least 500 of those miles...the tyre should be fine how it is. Very Happy

According to the riders handbook it was a failure on the operators part to complete all necessary checks...

Petrol.. check
Oils... err were fine last time I checked
Water... was fine last time it was serviced
Damage.... check
Electrics.... Engine starts must be good
Rubber.... Question Exclamation

Or should I take the IAM hat off?

Have been told my car will be returned soon! Bit bloody late for the winter season as soon as it comes back will put summer tyres back on! Only did 1000 miles on the winter ones this year!

People like me are the reason checklists were invented Twincarb Very Happy

That's the wheel off just need to find a tyre now. Getting those 4 pots off doesn'tt seem to get any easier never easy; if I didn't tape up the rim there'd be no paint left.

Cheers Guys!
Dave
