Wish I could be there but this work gig is prolly gunna be seeing me through the N American Summer for an October return. Watched an Aussie movie (The Sapphires) this arvo at a little theatre in Seattle and got a bit more than homesick...

Don't think there is a need Rick. Almost as many gum trees in the US as in Aus. Or at least in California. Highways were lined with them.

I just came back from having the weekend in Wagga and the days were nice but the mornings and evenings were brisk.

I will have the help clean most of the dirt from the floor. It is the least I can do.

Just spent $300 on stuff. Hope it comes by next week so Charlie and Alby can earn their keep installing it all.

RT, myself, maybe Herr Schoorni, and two of my mates (non-K riders, but don't hold that against them!) are at Tallangatta on the Friday night. I see that a few of you are staying at Khancoban on Friday night. So, as it's only 100Km to Tallangatta from Khancoban, we will await your arrival at T. whilst we indulge in our latte and croissants. Then ride en-masse to Narrandera, for an early/mid afternoon arrival.

What's the chances of the Khancobans being at Tallangatta by 09:00-ish. I also need to stop at Bonegilla (enroute to Albury) and have a look around, as that was where the migrant camp was and the Grabau's were interned there for a few months in 1954. It was our first stop in Aus, after the voyage from the Vaterland.

If the weather is like it is at the moment, it'll be TOP SHELF!! Bring it on!!

Well the cabin at khankoban is booked and sleeps seven. Two double beds and bunks in others.
I think tallangatta is just too far for us on Friday.
Just spoke to the lady at the caravan park and they are not having any frosts yet.
I can't see any reason we can't get to tallangatta by nine ish. We just won't have the second latte.

Has Waz contacted you RT about the Thursday ride?

Any special dietary requirements Alby or Nic or Charlie?
I was thinking meat and three veg.

Let me just say I intend to be at Khancoban with everyone....but I'm travelling with a hack and a dog, so doG knows how far behind I'll be and where I'll end up at the end of each day. I will however...arrive at Narrandera, which is apparently a frill-necked lizard, though I have never seen one there.

actually pretty simple....you have a sim card in it and you can SMS it to ask where it is.....and it replies with a google maps hyperlink which you click and that opens google maps with the tracker indicated where it is.....it will also tell you the speed and mileage etc.
Each tracker can have 3 mobile numbers enabled which can interogate it....and of course a help button on the side which will sms HELP to the 3 numbers with location attached.

If it was the suggestion of unswept floor space, then Alby can have the floor and you can have the bed. Nic can decide when she gets here.

I will make soup. I even have a usb heated travel mug for you if that will help and I won't make you fix anything on my bike. Unless you want to.

Khancoban, or as Halo calls it Coba Cabana Friday - Cloudy in the arvo 7c - 19.
Washed my bike and gave her a thorough spruce up on Sunday night - after spending the last 2 Saturdays helping Halo get his bike ready, I had more than a touch of guilt at the state of my old girl.
Then I noticed a grumbly metal sound coming from the rear...............thought the rear drive had gone, trip was looking a no go, I was shattered.
Put it up on the centre stand and span the rear - practically no noise, take it off the stand - metal to metal sound.
Puzzled on it in my sleep Sunday night, and woke early to have a good look. Turns out one brake pad had gone to metal, but the other was only half gone! Yay! well as yay as it can be, picked up a set on the way to work and bunged 'em in last night.................we are good to go!!!
Halo, his lovely 160 rear (I mean his bike) and I coming up through Yea, Mansfield, Whitfield, Myrtleford, Tallangatta (we'll keep an eye out for the crew there), Coba Cabanna. And just a few drinks............................
3 more sleeps!!!
