There's one on eBay UK at the moment.
No bids, but a start price of £10 and buy it now of £25, which is a bit of a cheek as that's more than a new one.

My favourite eBay trickster to be wary of is a supposed NLA (No Longer Available) BMW folding key blank from a bloke in Perth selling for twenty bucks when a new one is nine dollars from the dealer and readily available.

Hey TWB which dealer can i get a key blank from for nine bucks. I checked for one at munich spares and they list one for 25 bucks. Any saving is always good, bike i have just got has only one key and i want to get a new one cut just in case.

51 25 1 453 659 Folding Key US$12.69...so they've gone up three dollars since 2006 when I left there last. They're $33.85 from BMW in OZ. Go figure.

Ok probably deserved that one.Evil or Very Mad

But the one on ebay from the us didnt match with the part number you had up, so had a look on motorworks site and theyve got one for the price you thought it was nine dollars something aud. So probably get some other trinkets from there while i'm at it.

If you want a standard, non-folding key to fit your '91 K100LT as a spare and that any lockshop worth its salt can easily cut as a trace of your original get a 51 25 1 233 554 (for US$6.89). The key I listed earlier is the folding version.

I wouldnt bother with the cover, all that it does is impede the cooling airflow (its 38C here today) from the radiator causing the injectors to heat up (not good)

While that may be the answer for you good sir, there is plenty of advice to the contrary on the forum in regards to doing all you can, beyond what the factory attempted, to also keep the fuel cool, and to stop the heated air from reaching your legs and turning them into fried chicken drumsticks on those hot days.

I also noticed that it does not fit if you use the lower fairing piece. But I did like the cover for the plugs looks like a scoop to force air over the plug area.
