Hi all my helpers
Well finally got to the shed and had a fiddle with the k100,it's in petty good shape for it's age but didn't like to run. After much help from the forum and many suggestions I tackled the wiring, earths tested OK as did the impulse to the injectors, remove air cleaner and induction housing and lo and behold,a broken wire to the temp sender.repaired after some difficulty getting the plug in fitting to a position suitable for repairs, all repaired and tested A1.

Next to the fuel pressure control valve and new vacuum and fuel lines. Tests of the pressure control valve appeared to be inconclusive so set to work and stripped the control(of unknown condition) from the 84 RT. Fitted it up to k100 and immediately noticed a vast difference in valve and flow behaviour, heart in mouth, connected injectors and pushed start button. Oh what a wonderful sound, motor fired up at first touch and continued to run fairly sweetly for some minutes until I switched off , only to restart on first push of the button every time. A little suspect in revs but of course I have not assembled the air cleaner or the induction parts leading into the plenium chamber, this I will do at the first opp. I have at getting back into the shed.

I think I am on the right track but must offer my most grateful thanks to all on the forum Very Happy bounce

Still a lot of work to do

Regards

BA99

Great news mate, that is very self satisfying to get it started and running.
Good luck with the rest.
