Hello ALL Members,
I am 54 this year, Never owned a bike before, just purchased my first Bike, 1986 BMW K100LT, 59000km on the clock, current colour gold/champagne, needs some TLC, will post when I have some pics.
Also: Where Can one Download a Workshop Manual for these bikes?

Welcome Poge, Great to have another old geezer come to the Kworld. My wife and I am taking the local DMV course, just to bone up on my skills. There is some great knowledge to gather again. I owned a few bikes years ago, but I remember my bad experiences when I ride today. Since you don't have any bad experiences yet, you don't have to worry about remembering them. Don't hesitate to ask what you may think is the silliest questions. We are here for you. We want you to enjoy the next 40 years like AJAY is doing, now. There was a great guide from Norway on counter steering I will search for it for you.

Its called Full Control I have a PDF if you want it just PM me with your email and I will attach it and send.
It's a very worthwhile read makes you understand what is really happening when you ride and it definately makes you a better rider.
I would highly recommend an advanced rider training course, it's amazing just how many bad habits one develops in a short time.

Hi,
As one newby to another welcome. Even though I live mostly in Johannesburg we have a home in Tokai in Cape Town. We will be down next around the 26th April for a week or so. Some of the best rides in South Africa (possibly the world) are in that area.
