I was also checking this earlier today along with all the other rubber hoses that I need to check / replace on my 1986 K100RT.

The water hose is 880 mm long and part # 17111152866.

Unfortunately, I don't know the I/D of the rad to expansion bottle hose - it's not one that gets mentioned much - perhaps one of our knowledgable forum members may know?

I can recall seeing someone suggest using a 8mm clear plastic tubing for the expansion bottle level tube.

Anyway, my local BMW dealer just over the border in North Essex have quoted a price of £5.70 for the BMW hose - part # 17111152866.

8mm sounds about right.
I think I can get some clear silicone @ £2.75/metre.
Sounds OK?

Just had a re-think and will go for black because the black silicone is made up of multiply with reinforcement suitable of temps -60 to +180 C @£5.50 for 2m delivered

Always good to have some in the "shed"
