This is the connector for the choke switch - but the switch is not fitted on all models. When switch is fitted it activates an orange light in the speedo console. My K1 has this connector and if I short it out the light comes on, when I get time I might fit the missing switch.

Ringfad,

So the choke Switch is different that the 3 position choke lever on the left hand grip?

What functionality does it have (why are u thinking of adding it to your bike)?

The choke switch is a simple single pole momentary contact switch located on the throttle body assembly, near TB4. It is normally held open when the three position fast idle lever is set in the off position. When the fast idle is engaged in the first or second position, the switch closes and illuminates an orange light in the instrument cluster. The light tells the driver that the fast idle is engaged and serves as a reminder to turn it off. YThe switch serves no other purpose. As pointed out, this switch was present on earlier K100 and K75 models and later removed, although the wiring harness never deleted the connector.

The switch is present on my K100RS 8V and orange light comes on when using choke lever (fast idle lever) so I would also like it to work on my K1 and as I recall from other comments on this forum about other items - it is there so I must make it work Wink - I have acquired a switch so I must get round to fitting it. Switch part number is 61311459569.
