I have had my K100 some months now and have used the panniers a couple or three times and although I can get then on reasonably easy I have hells own job to get them off. I lift em slide em jiggle them and they refuse to budge and just as I am about to take a hammer to them they just slip off whats the nack that I havn't found guys.
I have just done a 600 mile trip to the Isle of man and back in cluding 170 miles in pouring rain and I am well impressed handling in the wet superb on a Conti go front and mitchelin Macadam back. and niether the panniers or top box leaked water.

it is a little tricky ,,,,but

undo the frame clamp ....then lift out the bottom by about 4 inches ....then slide back ...the panieer should then lift up and out

if you look at the interface ....you will see a piece of plastic at the back of that rail clamp of the panieer , basically by lifting the bottom out it clears the back end of the frame ...then its just a matter of lifting upish

does that help ?

Got to admit, it's not the slickest system, takes me awhile to remove them as well, but Charlie just about hit it on the head.

It's hard to believe that there are stories of these things actually FALLING off!
Once I figured out the "slide it all the way back while tipping the bottom out", I stood there and r&red both bags about 20 times till I had it down smooth.
It is recommended to keep the front latch locked when not actually taking the bags off as this prevents the latch from accidently popping open, leading to possible loss of the bag.

I must have gotten lucky because mine came off a breeze the first time I tried.

Now you've got me afraid to put 'em back on!

Well today there is a strang big white light in the sky so it was time to clean off 200miles of rain filth from Tuesdays run back from the IOM. Cleaning completed and I put on a pannier followed your instructions and viola it's so easy did it three times to prove it wasn't a flook. I found that if I closed the securing hook after releasing the bottom it works best. So again many thanks.
I do find it very hard to believe that if they are on the frames properly and the securing hook is locked that they can come off whilst travelling though.
Again many thanks/ Very Happy cheers
