I have a 1987 K100RS and a 1999 K1100LT.  Are the tanks interchangeable or are there wiring issues for the fuel pump and fuel gauge sender.

I'm trying to keep my bodywork colour matching when I do the engine swap.

Al

As far as I know the tank was the same right through to the end of the K1100LT. I was working on a 95 LT a few weeks ago and the tank was the same. The pump themselves are different but the mounting in the tank is the same they use different vibration dampers and plastic holder for the smaller pump. The small pump was from end 93 to end of production, 43mm diameter
