Is the Showa front fork on the later K75 range an improvement in ride and performance over the Fichtel and Sachs or were they fitted due to a cost saving exercise? John

I've ridden bikes with both types but not to make a comparison. All I can say is that I don't have any recollection that one was better than the other. I'd always assumed that the change was simply BMW changing supplier.

clearly yes - by far better than all other 2v forks

if your (Sachs or Brembo) fork works rough - throw it out
get a complet Showa (incl seering because of 41.0 mm instead of 41.3mm)
new progessive springs, new upper and lower bushes (thats the benefit)
and you´ll have an new bike

Ive done that on my K75 Showa Front Fork 112350 Showa Front Fork 112350
