A question for you wise people in the knuthaus. My panniers on my 1984 K100RT don't have any locks on them. They are just a clip. Can you buy the pannier clips with locks on them as I would like to leave the panniers on my bike as I think the bike looks better with them on. At the moment anyone could just walk up to and unclip the panniers and have it away with them regardles that they may be empty or full, Thanks peeps

wonder if you just haven't found the secret lid that exposes the key hole

its a rectangular piece that lifts up from the inside towards the outside of the clip

Here it is, Slazzman and the number on the inner block is the key number.(This lock has key 053)

Thanks Paul, I am at work in Scotland till Friday evening but it looks like I have been a bit of a tit. The first thing I'll do when I get home is check this out, Thank You. Quite clever of the Germans to hide the key hole though!!!!! Very Happy

I just got one of the clips that keeps the pannier on to the Z rail. It came with a lock and keys.

Motorworks also told me if I get the number from the side of the other clips just like the photo they can sell me the keys....

Those darn keys and locks are fiddly.....as for opening one with the key on a wet night...patience will be needed.
