I'm on the lookout for a set of RT or LT bars if anyone has a set they need to be parted from.

are you replacing a set ? , my RT is not getting any use after Oct.

I'm going to try RT / LT bars on my K75 project in place of the (I think) C bars that are on it. The bike is an imported K75 Standard. By the way, was it your ex police bike that used to be parked every day on the New England highway just past Melbourne Street? Now it's either been painted blue or replaced with a blue bike.

Do you have a photo of the K75 Standard? I was looking at a K75/2 before I bought my K100 Basic 2.

I have managed to get hold of a set of RT bars - thanks MikeisonTV.

Charlie, I'll keep that in mind once I work out what is going and what is staying on this bike. Smithy had a conversation with me over the weekend at Tottenham about surplus K75 bits as well so I'll get in touch with you guys when the time comes.

Basic2, I wasn't smart enough to take a photo of the K75 when I first got it home but I'll try to insert a few below that will give you an idea of what it is like. I think some people refer to this one as a /2 (maybe that is the correct model description).

That's a K75 with the low seat option, they dropped the 'C' when they introduced the ABS equipped models.

It has 'C' bars. If you are going to fit RT/LT bars you may find that the cables are at their limit of reach.

If you ever consider getting rid of the small fly-screen, I'm looking for one as the Touring screen I've got won't fit my 1100 owing to the top clamp shape. 

Thanks to MikeP for helping with the photos. Yep, I figured the cables would be too tight so have bought RT cables for fitting up when I mess with the bars. I'll remember about the small screen but I warn you it could be a while as time to play with the toys gets limited and I'm lucky enough to have the other two rider machines.

Thanks for the photos Gaz. What colour is it? Do you know where it was originally sold?

G'day Ed. Meeting up and chatting on the weekend answered those questions. As with many of us, finding time to work on the hobby projects is a challenge. I've done the forks and had the usual leaks in the fuel tank repaired and also purchased a few bits and pieces that I may need but realistically I'm probably still 6 months away from riding it. Good fun though.

Basic 2, 
The original colour is code 654 1990 Metallic Red (obviously fades very well). The VIN number indicates it was sold in Europe and the lens on the headlight also suggests that it was sold into a left hand drive market. Motorworks also confirmed it as a Europe market bike from their database when I inquired about some second hand parts.

From the conversation we had in Tottenham about how you acquired this bike I'm very envious, Top bike and great project enjoy.
