I spoke to Ted (BeemerShop.com) today and ordered a YSS and a set of Wilber's progressive fork springs.  He spoke pretty highly about both, and choosing the YSS kept the price low enough that I won't be completely upside down on my investment ($537 + $2500) is still almost in the range of what '91 K100rs go for.

They should be here next week.  I've been putting off doin the fork seals and cups, so now I'll really have a few hours of garage fun before the peak of riding season get here in central NC.

I'll let everyone know what my initial impression of the upgrade is once I'm finished.

I had a short ride on a K75s with a YSS and it was good although a little hard even with my 120kg on it but it seems to be the way now that a shock is set up for 2 up and you need to specify that solo is what you want if that is the case.

We had a lengthy talk about weight, gear and riding style.  I'm pretty confident he'll send me the correct ones.

I had purchased used Öhlins for my R1100s and had the rebuilt to my weight at the factory in Henderson NC.  I wish that would have been an option for this bike, but it $2000 is a lot to put into a $2500 motorcycle.
