Hello again
about 2 months ago I found this on my driveway
Handle bar riser problems P1110010
harmless looking washer. I could not figure out for the life of me from which machine (mower, washer, motorbikes) and has been bugging me. Yesterday I was travelling at about 120klm and remembered Rickmeister's broken handle bar riser episode at Narrandera and it twigged, one tug on the end of my bars confirmed a horrible lack of connection.

Don't do this at speed into a corner, not good for the laundry lady.
I think this was done before my 2,400k recent trip. All fixed with spare bike donation, just thought you should see what can happen.

Did you notice any difference in the level of vibration Nino

No noticeable vibrations at all. Feeling is much better, I feel safer somehow (the bike doesnt "swim")

I have often thought of making some very stiff mounts for my K1100 because the K75 feels better without the rubbers.

I've been running the K75 top mount for years, I dont really get any more vibes from it just better feeling and more direct steering.

In 2002 somewhere south of Broome I had both handlebar risers snap on me, one a day after the other.  Had to ride around 400kms with lots of cable ties holding the handlebar risers down into the triple clamp.  It made a Honda dealership mechanic go white in the face when I was looking for some assistance.

Well it looks like we should put this on our list of regular maintenance checks, or put a cable tie or two on just in case. (or buy anew set and install).
Thanks for replies guys, don't ignore stray bits on your driveway.
