Hi all

A simple question but cannot find answer, which way round does the new type front crank/timing case seal go hall sensor one.

I see there is an arrow showing direction on one side which way does this go?
Does this rotate the same as engine rotation?
If so which way
I thought might be anticlockwise but before I fit using the advice on forum just wanted to check? Help  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

thanks smoll

The letters/numbers should point away from the oil side.

Soak it in oil for a couple of hours. The one I've just fitted was supplied by my local BMW dealership. Like any seal, getting it square at the start is the key, then use something of the same diameter to press it in (I have a hoofing great impact socket that is just the right size).
