Hello all. I have to change injector O rings cause of air leaks. Somebody told me that K 100 Le Jetronic use special O rings with special dimensions. My question is may I use other O ring for example from Opel with LE Jetronic which I can find in  neighborhood. What is dimension of O ring?

Where do you buy yours locally?

I have been buying a few things in bulk locally, for future use as one day some of our spares may become scarcer to obtain.  So far I have sourced aluminium crush washers, the hall effect sensors and I see that fuel pumps, oil filters and other items are available locally if you know where to look. 

If I remember correctly the BMWMOA has a list of Bosch items suitable for K series. 

I am wondering if it would be suitable to start a thread of locally sourced items (with prices) so that we can save a bit of leg work.  The aim would to be to get the cheapest price of consumable items for K biKes, complete with dimensions, reference numbers and price.

Last year I spent a considerable sum of money on a selection of stainless steel fasteners.  The reason?  As I own five Be Emms now, (actually five and a half) I find it easier to have spares on hand, instead of extending the mortgage each time I head to the dealer to replace one or two items. 

Open for thoughts, I am sure others have been down this track before me.

there was a post a while back now ...

cant find it .....but in essence there was a guy out of Melbourne selling kits for 4 injectors at a time from memory

they were for ford injectors . included the pintle shield , spacer and 2x o rings per injector ....$20 aussie for the kit ...plus some really small postage (was about the time of the workshop day up in Kingaroy  a year or 2 ago )

ill try and find it again ....but I have changed operating systems since then ...and lost a lot of stuff in the process ....dang !!!

From my limited experience however, when someone posts up a part at
X price, someone else says Ebay da da d[size=12.800000190734863]a for x cheaper, or part  from [/size]
X is better than Y. In the subject of this thread, injector o rings,
Bosch being the first (arguable?) and certainly the biggest/most
made, many many companies have copied /produced kits to suit.
Do you go genuine Bosch with unquestioned quality or aftermarket
as I did? Did I save much Dollar wise?

Result: I found some new O rings in Opel workshop, mounted on injectors and rail and push all together to cylinder head. Started engine and check for leaks with deoxit. Cylinders 1,2,3, leak, cylinder 4 not.
Than found a thread here in portal: Inge wrote dimensions of O ring; 7.52 x 3,53! Friend of mine who is BMW mechanic told that O ring for K has slight differences than for cars with same LE jetronic. (7,52 - 3,53). So I decided to wait original O rings which he will send on Monday.

will check again ...but for many of us the fit was without leaks as the vacuum sticks synchronising was achieved well  

have some real bmw parts as well,  must measure them  and compare the ones we have been getting  pitty they are up in Kingaroy with Alby

Charlie, as I understood difference is that K O ring is 3,52 mm - 7,53 mm, but other (car) aplications 3,5 mm - 7,5 mm. My friend mechanic highly reccomended K O ring, because of extended period of use. I head a general type rings on my bike, but it started to leak after cca 3,5 years, so this time I ll put original.

Hi there, as far as I know all applications (both cars and MC) using Bosch injectors uses the same o rings.
Audi/Bosch systems uses a different injector and o ring, there are also other brands.
Bosch o rings are 3,52 mm - 7,53 (nominal, if you measure them you'll find minor deviations) this is an odd size, perhaps due to commercial reason. If you use a common o ring, most probably you'll have a leak.

Does anyone have a set of those o rings - bmw here in Canada wants $ 7.67 each plus taxes. A little rich me thinks

Those O-rings are common to a great many of the Bosch injectors and other brands so are usually available from auto shops

Hi there, try rockauto.com, I know for sure that 1998 Jeep Cherokee o rings are the same on my K.
Set costs less than 4$ and you'll have spares.
