Quick question: How many different brake discs were fitted to the K100/K1100? I have found two part numbers for the 16v and the 1100 which I thought had the same rear brake 34212312226 and 34212310206. I cannot see the difference. Is the 8v the same disc?
The reason for the question is that the disc on the back of my 16v is solid and I think that it should be drilled. It also looks scruffy due to the rust on the parts where the pads don't touch.

206 is solid, 226 is drilled, both non ABS.
206 was used on all non ABS models up to 07/93, 226 from 07/93.
Exept for the very early models which also was drilled, and got a
problem that they did crack........but was drilled in a different pattern
(same as (8V front discs).

Thanks. I put them both into realoem and the pictures show them both as drilled. They also show both as having ABS on the hydraulic diagram.
I am now more confused.

Parts catalogs are not meant to depict actual drawings of every single part.  Many common diagrams are used for different parts.

Rear brake disc 112350  A good example is...if you search the 16V crankventhose, you get a
drawing which shows the S-shaped used at the 8V models...but a different
part number...........the 16V hose looks quite different.

It could be added to this is that the drawing of the drilled disc shows the very
early version which did have a habit to crack, before it was worn down to the
service limit.

Thanks for that Inge and others. I have now got things clear in my mind. Basically all the rear discs are all the same fitting. Some have the ABS ring, some don't, some are solid and some are drilled. It also seems even the K1200RS to 2004 is the same fitting.
I am now also looking at Galfer 662 which is listed as fitting all of the above bikes!
