Ok my fork seals are leaking and the stanchions are badly pitted.
I can get a set of stanchions from Motorworks + gaitors and seals.

Any advice as to how I go about replacing them ?

ie Will I have to remove fairing and instruments ?

Am I likely to run into problems getting at bolts on upper and lower fork bridge's !

Thanks in advance

You can get an allen key in to loosen the bolts and then slide them out without even touching the fairing or instruments.
The top bridge from the top with the wheel turned full lock in easy direction and the lower ones from the bottom with the wheel full lock each way.

Fair enough Rick G

Thanks for that, I thought it might be difficult , but you make it sound easy so I'll give it a go.
I was going to get it into a dealer workshop but they are a bit sticky about customer's talkin to their mechanic so I might as well ask for advice here and have a go myself !

I will get corrected if I'm wrong but I think you might have to put a jack under the engine to lift the front off the ground high enough to withdraw the forks.
And good luck, I did them and am an uninspiring idiot of a mechanic.

While you're at it you should check the steering head bearings for play/notchiness.

When you're ready to install the new fork seals pick up a cupla condoms and 'deploy' them on the fork tube ends. It's an effective way to keep from tearing/boogering the seals.

Notice I used 'install' not 'mount'.
