Hi Guys,

I'm looking at mounting some spotlights to my naked 1990 K100.

What I'm chasing is advice on mounting points from anyone who has done this previously. The other threads I've seen seem to all be for faired K100s. The threaded holes for the horns seem to be a good option but I'd like to see what others have done before I make a final decision.

Any comments and pics are welcome. Thanks in advance!

That is a fairly good place to mount them. Some of the guys mount them on the lowers of the front forks but the higher the better and eye level is optimal but rather difficult.
Also in Queensland they are not to be any higher than the main beam of the headlight but I dont know anyone who has copped a bluey over it.

Mounting them on the forks has the advantage of forming a nice triangle with the headlight which studies have shown makes it easier for other road users to judge your speed and distance.

On my K75 I put LED floods on the forks for daytime conspicuity and then made a light bar out of powder coated 1" square aluminum for the HID driving lights that I use at night.
