Hello, My name is Oliver. Im 20 years old. For the past couple months I have been working on my daily driver K75 project turning this:
My dear Clair (1994 K75RT Police) 3-23-14 update M8zeao
My dear Clair (1994 K75RT Police) 3-23-14 update 2s0hhk6
My dear Clair (1994 K75RT Police) 3-23-14 update 2l9qo39

into this:My dear Clair (1994 K75RT Police) 3-23-14 update 2lkurybMy dear Clair (1994 K75RT Police) 3-23-14 update 2dh7ix4

It is still not completed: as I still have to make the side panels, redo the seat leather and padding, put a new speedometer on, change the color of the gas tank by painting or by simply brushing it raw, fix the shoddy police electric work, make new aluminum fenders, the rear fender will be floating, and also add other little tidbits a long the way.

Hello, My name is Oliver. Im 20 years old, in college and working for an artist doing metal work and also starting a custom motorcycle shop. I got this bike for a sweet deal and tore it apart.

Welcome and don't be afraid to ask. You will find it a lovely bike. What have you done with the parts you took off it?

I suppose you will be starting next on that green Mercedes in the photo!!

No that mercedes is just some assholes car who parked it in front of the shop and left it for a few days.

Most of the parts, the crashbars, touring and city panniers, police seat and trunk I have all sold to fund this. I still have a working ABS computer for sale and pannier racks. I also have two abs pumps

Selling the parts to fund it was a wise move. A few other happy K owners too. Best of luck with it.

It's from a K75RT. The radiator is set forward to fit the K100RT fairing. The K75 never had its own fairing they just made a K100 fit.

Sorry never saw these replies.

The headlight is a DCC Original 7 inch H4 powdercoated with a chrome ring. The brackets I got off ebay, just chrome.
THe seat is getting re done to fix the padding and sewing, I will be using a mixture of foam and gel.
Rick G is correct on the radiator placement.
Just got my Rizoma mirrors in, will post pictures soon.
Im going to be painting the gas tank soon and making side panels, floating rear fender and a few other secret touches. New tires, grips and speedo on the way too!
The arm sticking out of there is my talented friend Eric who welded the seat, he was hiding for the picture.
Thanks for all the interest! seriously

I like it Oliver, looking for a headlight like that as well. When you get over 50 your natural padding gets thicker
and you don't need a thick cushion. Bet you can't wait for that!!
Keep the piccies coming mate

Looks like a forearm with tattoos and a leg in jeans.  Seems someone is crouching behind the bike when the picture was taken.

Thank you. i was going to go with the old r/69s bumm or albert mirrors because the cover of "90 years of BMW" made them look sick but I figured they would look to dainty. Still I thought headlight mirrors would be cool so I found something more robust from Magazi

and thanks to Federal Aid refunds for college I just got a lot of money and this bike will be coming back amazingly and better than ever

Ordered,
Rizoma Mirrors (old ones snapped off on crash)
brembo front brake cylinder and lever from a ducati
tomaselli clutch
Tarozzi CLip ons
Joker machine serrated foot pegs
Koso xr-sr speedometer
Remote reservoir mono shock off of 2012 Ninja (same size thank god)
Pirelli Rosso II rear and Pirelli Angel Front.
Replaced headlight as it was mangled

You might want to consider adding one of these (7) to cover the back of the cluster housing.

I have probably taken off 140 pounds maybe and seeing as everything else is aluminum ive put on really the only weight is engine gearbox frame forks and wheels. I also lowered it an inch and have a pirelli diablo rosso II on the back and it corners so much nicer. I got my knee down one day and it spooked the shit out of me. Ive been really trying to learn how to corner better and better on this bike and its like riding a crotch rocket now. Speed hasnt changed much, maybe an extra 2mph at 5th gear at 5000rpm 3 in a tuck lol more pick on the way

The hose between the reservoir and the master cylinder looks like it getting kinked.
Find a spring that just fits the o.d. of the hose to avoid this.......or change the angle or lenght of the hose.

I would also have changed the routing for the throttle cable, it looks like the bend is a bit to sharp........but if it operates smoothly like this....no action needed. Rolling Eyes

Have you considered using a Gixxer front end they go straight into the steering head bearings. Then you have upsidedown forks and some real brakes.

Yea I have new cables on the way so Im not worried about it.  I was thinking about maybe going with clear hose for the brake reservoir. and thanks for the thoughts I got very scraped up but that is all. The bike got a bit scratched too So I have a new tank I will be brushing raw and putting on and then I need to touch up the engine paint, I just am already quite over budget.

I didn't know about the Gixxer thing. Im already a bit over budget on this bike and there are still a bit more pressing things I need to take care of but if I can find one for a good price I would.

ANd yea the tank is quite unique because this was a police bike, tragically in the crash I banged it up pretty bad so I already have a new tank to replace it. The tank will be up for sale soon

Hi Oliver.
I really like what you have done. Looks great. I am hoping to do something similar with a K100 and am building a lower narrower seat. I have a few questions if you get the time to answer
What type of foam or gel pad and what thickness did you use?
and most importantly
How comfortable is it?

These tanks, with the built in glovebox, are very common on German K (Police/ex-Police) bikes.

Hey Niall yeah ask away Brudda. I'm using half inch thick gel foam and then an inch and a half of marine foam on top. It is amazingly comfortable just make sure any hard lines on the seat pan are covered by something because right now I got what was supposed to be all weather faux leather from Joaans fabrics and its already cracking and on the sides that go over the seat pan its cutting into it. Also use real leather, there is no comparison too it. Im shopping for some new leather right now to reupholster the seat.

Hi Oliver!
Nice job with the clip ons , grips and levers. Be aware that once you remove the instruments you'll have no neutral indicator and you'll only be able to start with the clutch. watch this thread https://www.k100-forum.com/t4708-gear-indicator-for-aftermarket-speedometer-and-other-circuits

Tank you very much! I still have a few more things to take care of on the Koso I will be experimenting with different fuel level senders from different bikes for the fuel gauge and then I still need a gear indicator and neutral circuit which I will be making soon. RIght now I have a switch attached to the clutch switch to start it, hence the red wire on the left side. SPeedo works fantastic, I had a conditioning circuit made by a friend brick owner in bulgaria and it works great. The tachometer is also working well. It was a long day but I had it finished with new mirrors and new headlight on in 7 hours and as I was wiring my friend at the Garage was making me the bracket.
