Have those lovely 3 spoke gold wheels. They were pretty dirty, the left fork was leaking for some time and had gone over the rim, jet wash didn't remove. My son-in-law is keen motocross rider and cleans his bike with diluted truck wash (comes up great) so decided to use some to clean wheels with a soft scrub. Got the grime off OK but after washed off saw that it had taken the gold paint off!!   Gutted, loved the gold wheel, guess its a major to repaint?

Going to take a few beers to get over this....

Bugga, thats not cricket, my commiseration's, wonder if it was BMW gold paint or aftermarket, having said that, I recently bought a K1, and the silver paint on its wheels looks like its been washed/scrubed off, so going to strip them out, and pull the bits off, sand down an respray...  J
