I have seen that bike around. Price is good for NZ. Most at that price have lapsed rego and WOF.

Kiwi K1.
I wouldn't say no if money flowed freely at my place.

Yeah, noice, that looks a good one.

I'll never forget the Summer of '89. I was in America and on the east coast at the national BMW rally in York, Pennsylvania, at the fairgrounds. There were reports that over 9,000 Beemer riders had turned up! A blue and a red K1 together came rolling out on the horse oval in front of the Saturday night grandstand before the thousands of gasping rally goers. It was a hot, humid evening and many of them had already cracked into the piss. I remember looking around and seeing a lot of pinched up faces, not sure what to make of it, seeing these two sleek (?) machines circling the track in stride, at a steady pace with their skinny leather riding suit jockeys looking like some '80s freak show of contrasting colour. I loved it. It was bold of BMW, but bold in that inimitable, funky, we-gunna-do-it-our-vay BMW way. I knew then the world would not love it. And they didn't. Now it's coming back in people's view as a classic, because it's incredibly unique, and a piece of our collective motorbike history.

I like the black one best.
