I have the side panniers and will be painting them and re badging them soon, but was there a top box that matched too?

I seem to see a lot of side panniers but cant find the top box, i presume they just fitted to the rack on the back.
Anyone have one or know where to get one from or have a picture of one so i can look.

Hi there, there is an original 35litre topcase for the LT's. For that one you need the big rack. Both the topcase and the rack are rather expensive. There is a picture of one on an LT on Wikipedia, but you can find heaps of pics searching on google picture search for BMW K1100 . http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_K_1100_LT

There also is a smaller topcase (20 litres I think), which perfectly fits on the smaller rack, which alsmost all K's are equipped with nowadays. http://www.bmbikes.co.uk/photos/schemephotos/BMW-K100RS-SE-1989.jpg

There is also aftermarket topcases. I have a Siebenrock TK50. http://picasaweb.google.de/104802265311180174417/Topcase#

I have one, but you should try to find one in UK. Her the aftermarket prices are very high, around 100 Pound for the original top case. You can try on eb.y

Howdy badgerdid,

I must confess I hardly ever take my topbox off. Theyre dead practical.

Yep, fits right on the small holder.

But make sure that it's the TK50 and not the TC50. Latter one does only fit with the bridge for another 150€ or so. TK50 fits perfectly on the K, hence the 'K' in TK50 Top box is there one available? Icon_cheers

Personally I like the square look of the BMW case but well done Alex for pointing out the difference between the two Siebenrock models.
