This is the lower handle bar clamp mount thing off a K1100. 

Whats the function of these bits? TWhats the function of these bits? TWhats the function of these bits? STK07361

Whats is the protruding bit for, that is non existent on the k100 ones?

I know they go through a bracket that screws onto the front of the triple clamp (#17 and 18 bellow)

What is the function of this bracket? Simply to locate the switch gear cables etc?

They go into the holes in the plate #17 to limit the movement of the bars

Make sure, the opening in 17 is close enough to keep rubber 4 in place, rubber will try to escape, and then it feels like you're riding a drunk camel.
