Just a quick note to say hi. My ride is a 91 K75S I bought as more or less a basket case. Since many of the body panels were missing the plan was to convert it to a naked bike. Below are a few pictures showing the condition it was when I bought it, and where it's now. Not quite finished, but getting close.

I also have a technical question regarding trouble shooting the ABS. Since I don't want to get off topic here please look for it in the electrical section.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm working on a K100 project myself and like what you've done with the tail unit. Don't believe I've seen it used like that before. Very original.
Be interested to see how you've done the tail light. I'm assuming LED's.
Is that a Yamaha headlight? Looks better than the usual round ones.
I've seen them for sale for a reasonable price and did think that they looked good.

Welcome to the forum.  I like what you've done with the K75!
Sorry I cannot offer any advice re the ABS.  I've no experience with that technology.

Thanks guys!

The tail light is an LED. It's a strip that incorporates all running, brake, and signals in one. It is really a nice bright light and works super well with the existing tail. Having it in silver it almost disappears. The LP lights are built into the bolts. Also LED. I will upload a picture that shows them on when I have one.

That strip brake/indicator light really looks the part.
Does it incorporate a tail light or do you have something separate?
Not sure if it would pass the legal regs here. Need to check up on that.

Yes the LED strip incorporates the running lights, signals and brake light in one piece. It's an 8" piece and the whole thing is lit up as a running light. The center section is the brake light, and either side has a signal light section, which get more intense when activated. I could also add a strobe cicuit the the brake light, which I still might do.

The bike isn't finished yet, so I only have a few shots. I will have more pictures when it's done, but here is one more that I have at the moment. 

BTW the tank is polished not painted and the front "number plate" is also aluminum, as well as the piece below the tail. The tail is the original part, but parts cut off of it to fit in this orientation. The seat is a carbon fiber pattern material and it's sitting on an aluminum tray.

Good job on the seat. Looks sensible. I like that you've retained the original muffler. I think it suits to a T.
If I was to do a cafe I'd use a K75 I think. Smooth bike to ride and handles well in traffic.
Will you be putting anything on the tank to stop it oxidizing?

Yes, if BMW had made the K100 silencer a bit more like that 
i.e. shorter, it would be less of an issue. 
Obviously, they were able to keep the K75 quiet with a shorter pipe. Looks so much better, too.

I wonder if anyone has tried to retro fit a K75 muffler to a K100 collector. A bit of cut and weld but it might be possible???

Added a badge on the tail. Picked one with black and white in carbon fiber instead of the blue.

Thanks, yes I think this works quite well and I like the fact that we kept all the original pieces as much as possible. 

The same goes with the instrument cluster. Most people are removing it and replacing it, however just by creating the right shape of "spoiler" in front which wraps around the edges makes it work. This spoiler also makes a visual impact and works as a number plate adding more to the "racer" (cafe and street fighter) look.

The next step in practicality in my mind is to carefully trim the '80s-boxy, awkward, two-piece front mudguard so there's a balance at both ends, and not as a second thought, to keep damaging road debris off the front of the motor and radiator.

Here's one I did on an Airhead with a similar fender in OZ several years back that looks the part:
